IT Business Analyst
The Business Analyst role provides an important interlock between the wider business and IT from initiation of ideas, contributing to the development of business cases to support development of project into project initiation. From approval of business cases, the Business Analyst will be expecting to work closely with key stakeholders to translate operational needs into clear technical requirements, through to the production and execution of test scripts and support during implementation. Producing clear documentation for project delivery and transition into BAU, test scripts and training materials. The role also ensures that all IT technical / architectural mapping is kept contemporary following change. Responsibilitites include: Owns the end-to-end requirements phase for Change Requests and Projects. Lead requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder meetings, group sessions, user observations and/or use other techniques to identify business need or requirement with stakeholders of all levels. Pro-actively applies (or quickly gains) a comprehensive knowledge of the needs of stakeholders to provide solutions to problems. Translates complex business requirements into technical requirements considering the environment, performance requirements and existing systems Produces detailed designs including for example: physical data flows, class diagrams, file layouts, common routines and utilities, program specifications or prototypes, and backup, recovery and restart procedures.
