Do you have prior experience working with children with hearing impairments in a school setting? We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a Hearing Impairment Unit within a mainstream Primary school. The classroom facilitates children with hearing impairments, with support from a primary SEND teacher and a team of three TA''s. The children span all age groups and come in and out of the room depending on the lesson being taught.About the Role: Position: SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Rochdale OL11, mainstream primary school with a specialist hearing impairment unit Start Date: After February Half-Term Contract: Full-time, long-term placement Salary: Competitive, based on experienceKey Responsibilities: Support children with hearing difficulties in both individual and group settings within a mainstream classroom. Work closely with class teachers and specialist staff to ensure pupils are fully included and engaged in lessons. Provide tailored support to meet the specific needs of each child, including the use of hearing aids, BSL (British Sign Language), and other relevant communication methods.
