Section Engineer - Earthworks (Rail) Location: Hertfordshire Employer: Tier 1 Main ContractorRandstad is recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer with strong Earthworks expertise to support a major rail upgrade project in Hertfordshire.You will be joining a Tier 1 main contractor, working on a combination of civils and building works within a live rail environment. The earthworks package will be your primary responsibility, requiring strong technical oversight and proven delivery experience.Key Responsibilities:Managing engineering activities, subcontractors, and/or self-delivery teamsPlanning, forecasting, and delivering works to programmeLiaising effectively with clients, designers, and other key stakeholdersDeveloping and maintaining programmes, risk assessments, and quality assurance documentationOverseeing design coordination, NCRs, RFIs, and health and safety complianceEssential Experience:Significant hands-on experience delivering Earthworks packages on major civils or rail projectsStrong technical knowledge and the ability to manage works independentlyExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
