Joining a highly technical engineering environment, you will play a key role in the mechanical design and development of an advanced counter-UAS system, taking genuine ownership of projects from initial concept through to working hardware. This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer who enjoys combining mechanical design and CAD with practical, hands-on engineering. You''ll be involved throughout the complete development lifecycle, including concept development, prototyping, fabrication, assembly, testing and continuous product improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead mechanical design and development activities for advanced electromechanical systems. Design airframes, structures, mechanisms and actuation systems. Support sensor head and subsystem integration. Produce detailed CAD designs and develop concepts into prototypes and production-ready solutions. Design and build test rigs and specialist engineering equipment. Undertake hands-on fabrication, assembly, testing and fault finding. Work across mechanical, electrical and electronic interfaces.
