Where no two days are the same.Your roleWe are looking for motivated Mechanical Design Engineers to support current and future flight spacecraft projects. You will support the design of new structures and the integration of sub-systems from concepts through to final designs. The role will include mechanical design, systems integration and build support activities.You work closely with project managers, system engineers, manufacturing and senior/ principal analysts.Design of components/ systems to fulfil customer requirements using 3D modelling tools and techniquesCompletion of manufacturing drawings to enable component procurement and support of manufacturing activities and inspectionsDocumenting and implementing design changes using Engineering Change NoticesWriting detailed assembly procedures and technical build information

Your profileCompetent use of SolidWorks CAD package is essential and familiarity with MRP systems is an advantageSpecifying/ identifying appropriate materials, surface treatments and finishes for mechanical component design in aerospace applicationsElectrical harness design and integration experience/Design of components/ systems to fulfil customer requirements using 3D modelling tools and techniques, specifically using AutoCAD (other CAD packages considered)Completion of manufacturing drawings to enable component procurement and support of manufacturing activities and inspections
