We are currently looking for a UK Statutory Reporting Accountant to join our clients team on a 12 month contract basis. Based in Portlethen Aberdeen, 2 days WFH, 3 days in office As the UK Statutory Reporting Accountant you will be part of a busy Finance Team, working closely with external auditors and playing a key role in the delivery of an effective and efficient external audit. You will be responsible for the preparation and review of the statutory accounts and delivery of all aspects of financial accounting for a number of large UK entities, with presence in numerous countries. You must have excellent understanding and knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102), outstanding attention to detail and have a propensity to achieve uniform standards of presentation and communication. You must demonstrate ability to work autonomously and meet critical deadlines whilst managing a busy workload and ensuring excellent relationships with key stakeholders across the group. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the audit function for the consolidation of together with a number of other UK companies, which includes: Preparation and approval of audit packs prior to audit Preparation of statutory accounts and necessary disclosures in line with requirements of FRS 102 Identification and calculation of statutory adjustments on conversion from US to UK GAAP Communicating with ledger controllers on audit requirements and provision of guidance on technical accounting issues Ensure that the key issues ..... full job details .....
