Health and Safety Officer - Research Environment (12-Week Contract)Headington, Oxford Full-Time £20.38/hr Life Sciences Lab We''re seeking an experienced Health and Safety professional for a dynamic research department in Oxford. This 12-week contract offers the chance to make a real impact in a fast-paced academic setting. Key Responsibilities: Lead departmental health and safety compliance and auditsInvestigate incidents and support occupational health referralsManage laboratory safety processes and critical equipment maintenanceOversee Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessments and PEEPsSupport sustainable lab practices and safe hazardous waste disposalEngage with governance and regulatory compliance (HTA, radiation, biosafety) About You: Background in life sciences or technical discipline (degree or equivalent)Strong knowledge of HandS legislation in lab environments (esp. Biosafety Level 2)Experience in university or hospital research settingsConfident communicator with strong organisational skillsFamiliarity with human tissue and radiation safety protocols a plus Start Date: ASAP Location: On-site, Oxford (Old Road Campus)
