Job Title: Lead Maintenance Engineer Location: City of London Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (40 hours per week) + Overtime Salary: £55,000 Role Purpose Operating as an autonomous, site-based specialist on a single-person site, you will take 100% operational ownership of all building services infrastructure, statutory compliance, and plant reliability. Combining a versatile multi-skilled engineering foundation with in-depth HVAC and cooling systems expertise, you will lead technical delivery from the front. Key Responsibilities1. Autonomous Maintenance Delivery and Plant Resilience Total Plant Stewardship: Act as the sole resident technical lead responsible for the delivery of all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) routines and reactive repairs across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building fabric assets in strict alignment with SFG20 standards. HVAC and Cooling Systems Governance: Directly oversee, service, troubleshoot, and fine-tune primary and secondary HVAC infrastructure, including central chillers, Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), Variable Air Volume (VAV) boxes, DX split/VRF air conditioning units, and heat recovery circuits.
