This key position supports high voltage operations across power distribution and renewable energy projects, with a strong emphasis on lifting operations, temporary works coordination, and site safety. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring safe systems of work and the reliable delivery of critical infrastructure across the UK.Key Responsibilities:Safety leadership: Ensure all lifting operations are carried out safely and in line with National Grid, BS 7121, and wider industry safety standardsPlanning and coordination: Develop, assess, and authorise lift plans, method statements, and risk assessments for complex or high-risk operationsWork control: Manage safe systems of work, coordinating closely with site managers, crane supervisors, and contractors to avoid risk near live infrastructureTechnical assurance: Ensure lifting activities comply with technical standards and relevant legislation, including LOLER and the Electricity Safety, Quality and Continuity Regulations (ESQCR)Stakeholder communication: Act as a central point of contact between National Grid, principal contractors, and stakeholders during planning and deliveryCompliance and review: Conduct site audits, inspections, and reviews, ensuring accurate reporting of any non-conformances or incidentsJob Requirements:CPCS or NPORS Appointed Person Ticket (A61
