We are working with a school in South Gloucestershire who are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their support staff team to support a child who has an ASD diagnosis.Specific requirements of the post include:• Forming a positive relationship and responding to the child''s individual needs as appropriate• Supporting the child to integrate and participate in class activities• Breaking down the task to make it accessible• Liaising with outside agencies relating to specific programmes of support• Keeping accurate records of achievements, progress or concerns• Forming trusting professional relationships with parents/carers• Working closely with the class teacher and job share partner, SENDCO and year group team• Supporting the pupil alongside their peers at lunch timeAbout youThe school are looking for a confident, caring person who can demonstrate appropriate skills and recent school-based experience to join their hard-working and supportive school team.
