Salary: c-75k85k basic (DOE) + benefits package including car allowance, private healthcare, and pension.
Company & Project: A prestigious, privately owned residential developer is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee their commercial delivery.
With an established reputation for quality in the East Anglian market, the business is currently delivering projects across two sites in Suffolk and Norfolk.
This developer is defined by a focus on sustainability and a high attention to detail, moving away from volume-driven housebuilding toward bespoke, environmentally conscious projects.
This is a pivotal role within the business, providing a bridge between the site-based teams and the Managing Director.
Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will take a lead role in the commercial department, ensuring that projects are delivered with financial precision and to the company''s exacting standards.
Core responsibilities include:
- Commercial Management: Overseeing the commercial performance of approximately 100 units, ensuring high-specification finishes are achieved without compromising budget integrity.
- Procurement Strategy: Leading the procurement of specialised subcontractors and managing Design and Build contract negotiations.
- Financial Reporting: Overseeing the production of monthly CVRs, cash flow forecasting, and identifying commercial risks or opportunities.
- Technical Liaison: Working closely with design and construction teams to ensure high-end technical details are cost-effective and practical.
Desirable Experience
- Senior Commercial Expertise: Minimum 5+ years'' experience in Quantity Surveying, with a proven track record of managing residential projects from inception to completion.
- High-Spec Background: Experience within the high-end or bespoke residential sector is highly desirable.
- Management Ability: Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Regional Knowledge: A strong network of subcontractors and suppliers across Suffolk and Norfolk.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: BSc in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a comparable construction-related qualification.
