Recruiters Do Not Contact Overview: A leading public sector organisation is seeking a highly experienced AWS Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimisation of complex network architectures spanning on-premise and cloud environments. You will play a key role in delivering resilient, scalable, and secure network solutions across multi-tenant infrastructures. Location: Initial 6 weeks 2 days onsite Newcastle. Followed by x1 a month Newcastle. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement complex network topologies in AWS, ensuring resilience, scalability, high availability, and secure multi-tenancy. Configure and manage AWS networking services, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, DHCP, VPC peering, NACLs, Network Firewall, and Traffic Mirroring. Apply deep knowledge of foundational network protocols and concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, DNS, and network topology design. Write and maintain Terraform scripts for network provisioning and deployment, implementing Infrastructure as Code best practices. Troubleshoot connectivity issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to optimise network performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate networking solutions into complex transformation projects.
