About this role: This is a broad in-house role supporting an international engineering and manufacturing business Review, draft, negotiate and amend commercial contracts These contracts include high-value sales agreements, NDAs, purchasing and service contracts, software-related agreements and post-contract disputes Identify liabilities and explain contractual risks in clear, practical language Maintain an accurate record of contracts Ensure that risks are understood before commitments are made Instruct external advisers (UK and International law firms) and translate their advice into actionable guidance for non-legal colleagues Distinguish contractual risk from commercial decisions, helping stakeholders assess whether particular risks can be accepted or mitigated Support project managers with post-contract issues and disputes by reviewing agreed terms, assessing liabilities and contributing to practical solutions Attend occasional international meetings where needed You will need: At least 4-5 years prior commercial contracts experience In-house or private practice law firm experience Exercise independent judgement and recognise when specialist legal advice is needed Strong ..... full job details .....
