Deputy Nursery Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager to support supervise-our nursery. The successful candidate will work alongside the nursery manager assisting managing amd supervising-staff, ensuring high standards of childcare and early years education. Fostering a safe, nurturing environment for children.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in early childhood education and has previous supervisory experience .

Starting Salary: -36,000- -38,000pa + excellent further training, career progression opportunities, paid holidays.-

Duties and responsiblities-

• Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Support staff management, including supervising team members, organising rotas, and facilitating professional development.
• Contribute to creating a stimulating, safe, and inclusive environment for children aged from birth to five years.
• Engage with children through play and educational activities, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children''s progress and- activities.
• Ensure health and safety policies are strictly followed and maintained across the nursery.
• Support the implementation of early childhood education programmes aligned with best practices.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records related to children''s development, attendance, and staff schedules.
• Drive responsibilities may include transporting children safely to outings or activities as required.

Requirements

• Experience working within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
• Supervisory and leadership skills with previous supervisory experience preferred such as room leader or managerial experience.-
• Knowledge of childcare regulations and health & safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively with children, staff, and parents in a professional manner.
• Childcare qualifications such as NVQ, CACHE Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent are desirable. Or BA in Early Years Education.-
• A caring attitude combined with organisational skills and attention to detail.
