About us: We deliver information, advice and wellbeing support for unpaid carers across two north-west London boroughs. Our Hillingdon team also runs a young carers service, supporting children and young people aged 5 to 25 who live in Hillingdon and have a caring responsibility. We are seeking a confident and experienced IT Trustee who can lead the board''s thinking on digital and technology. Your role as IT Trustee: - Bring independent expertise, challenge and insight to board discussions on digital strategy and the use of artificial intelligence. - Help us identify and manage technology related risk, including cyber security, data protection and the safe handling of sensitive personal information about carers and young carers. - Advise on the standards, governance frameworks and good practice we should be working to, proportionate to our size and resources. - Offer a view on emerging technology that could improve how we reach carers, deliver services and run the organisation more efficiently. - Champion accessibility and digital inclusion, so that our services remain open to carers who are not confident online. - Work alongside fellow trustees and staff to build digital capability and resilience across the charity.
