We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist school in Eccles for a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

The Role:
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
• Assist in managing challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner
• Support the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
• Promote emotional regulation, social skills, and engagement in learning
• Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and structured environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (school, youth work, care, or similar)
• Strong behaviour management skills and emotional resilience
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA) are desirable but not essential
