A client within the Public Sector, based in Tyne and Wear, is currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join their Responsive Repairs Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority environment.The RoleKey purpose of the role:To deliver a comprehensive building surveying service within the Responsive Repairs Team, ensuring property defects are accurately identified, repair works are specified and delivered in line with RandM policy, and customers are kept fully informed throughout the repairs process.Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:• Carrying out all aspects of building surveying across the housing stock• Undertaking daily property inspections and identifying defects and remedial works• Producing detailed work packages and repair specifications• Arranging and overseeing repair works in line with the organisation''s Repairs and Maintenance policy• Liaising with contractors, internal teams, and residents to ensure works are completed efficientlyThe CandidateTo be considered for this role you will require:• A relevant qualification such as HNC/HND or Degree in Building Surveying or Construction• Membership (or working towards membership) of a relevant professional body (e.g. RICS or CIOB)• Proven experience working within a local authority or public sector housing environmentThe below skills would be beneficial for the
