Our client a leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking an Audit Senior to join their team in Oxford.You will be responsible for assisting with a mixed portfolio of clients in various industries, dealing with audits from planning through to completion.Duties include:Lead a variety of interesting and complex audit assignments across multiple sectors, liaising with managers and partners when requiredPrepare audit files, undertake audit planning and lead/assist with fieldworkAssist in work allocation and supervise more junior team members on audits, providing support, training and reviewing their workEnsure audit assignments are completed to a high standard, in time and within budgets agreed with DirectorsSupervise and review jobs completed by less senior members of staffUsing accounting software to provide accurate reporting for Managers, Directors and clientsPreparing statutory accounts and finalise accounts under the overall supervision of your Line ManagerPreparing corporation tax computationsMaintain up to date and relevant technical knowledge of the industry and national economic issuesInput in to service and product pricing, including assisting with new client quotesBuilding productive working relationships within Shaw Gibbs and with clients as requiredDeveloping and applying your technical knowledge through on the job trainingYou will ideally have at least 3 years UK practice experience, with good technical knowledge of audit and accounts and hold a pr
