We are looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our growing Facilities Management team, covering commercial sites across the Midlands, Central London and North London.

The Role

You will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, servicing, fault-finding and reactive repairs across a variety of commercial sites.

The role involves managing your own workload, travelling between locations and ensuring all work is completed safely and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair commercial gas appliances, boilers, burners, water heaters and heating systems.

• Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics, gas safety checks, tightness testing and combustion analysis.

• Undertake planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, inspections and commissioning.

• Identify defects, safety concerns and complete necessary remedial works.

• Maintain accurate service records, reports and compliance documentation.

• Liaise professionally with clients, colleagues and the helpdesk.

• Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicles.

• Travel between sites and participate in out-of-hours work and call-out arrangements when required.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer with current Gas Safe registration and relevant commercial competencies.

• Commercial Core Gas Safety qualification (CODNCO1 or equivalent).

• Relevant commercial appliance qualifications, such as CIGA1, ICPN1, CORT1 or TPCP1A, depending on the work undertaken.

• Strong commercial gas fault-finding skills and knowledge of gas safety legislation.

• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications

• Additional qualifications such as LPG, OFTEC, F-Gas, IPAF or PASMA.

• Experience in facilities management, commercial maintenance or industrial environments.

• Knowledge of mechanical plant, heating controls and building services.

Working Hours & Additional Information

• Minimum 40 hours per week with overtime available.

• Paid travel time between sites.

• Field-based role covering the Midlands, Central London and North London.

• Occasional overnight stays may be required.
