Family Time Practitioner – Suffolk County Council

Fox Morris Group are working to recruit a Family Time Practitioner

Opus People Solutions are recruiting Family Time Practitioners to support Children’s Services by supervising and facilitating Family Time sessions between children and their families. This is a rewarding role where you will play a key part in ensuring children experience safe, positive and meaningful contact with those who matter most to them.

Experience:

• Safeguard children throughout Family Time sessions, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times

• Supervise and facilitate sessions in a nurturing, supportive and child centred environment

• Observe and assess interactions between children and parents, providing constructive feedback where appropriate

• Maintain accurate, detailed records of observations, outcomes and any concerns

• Work collaboratively with Social Workers and other professionals to support children’s plans

• Deliver Family Time in a range of settings including Family Time Centres, Family Hubs, community venues and family homes

• Transport babies and children to and from sessions, including travel across wider geographical areas and occasional out of county journeys.

• Carry out home visits and offer practical support to families involved in Child in Need plans, care proceedings or court processes.
