Science Teacher – Prescot, Merseyside

Rate: £20 per hour
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Contract: Ongoing

Are you a passionate and experienced Science Teacher looking to inspire young minds?
HG Recruitment are seeking a dedicated educator to join a High School in Prescot, Merseyside, on an ongoing basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact delivering engaging, high-quality science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Learning

• Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured and inspiring science lessons that meet curriculum standards.

• Use a range of teaching strategies and practical experiments to engage students and support diverse learning styles.

• Differentiate lessons to accommodate students of varying abilities and backgrounds.

Assessment and Reporting

• Design, administer, and mark assessments to measure student understanding and progress.

• Provide regular, constructive feedback to students and parents.

• Maintain accurate records of student achievement, progress, and attendance.

Classroom Management

• Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment.

• Enforce laboratory safety protocols and supervise practical sessions responsibly.

• Manage student behaviour in line with school policies.

Skills and Attributes:

• Passion for science and education.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.

• Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.

Education and Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ideally required.

• Experience teaching Science at secondary level.
