Are you a Technical Consultant with a background in pre-sales or solution design within the MSP space? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing and award-winning IT services provider, delivering innovative cloud, security, voice, and managed IT solutions to a wide client base.

With a base salary of -60,000 + -5,000 car allowance, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with clients and sales teams to deliver technical solutions that solve real business challenges.

As a Technical Consultant, you''ll play a key pre-sales role - supporting the sales team by scoping and designing IT solutions that span:

• Managed IT services

• Microsoft 365 and Azure

• Networking and infrastructure

• Cyber security

• Unified communications / voice

You''ll engage directly with both new and existing customers, running discovery sessions, presenting demos, and advising on the right mix of technologies to drive ROI and business value.

• Partner with sales to understand client needs and shape technical solutions

• Lead technical discovery meetings and translate requirements into scalable solutions

• Design and present IT solutions tailored to business and technical needs

• Deliver compelling demos and proposals to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, supporting C-suite engagement and relationship building

• Stay up to date with vendor tech (Microsoft, Sophos, Cisco, etc.) and industry trends

Essential:

• Background in pre-sales, technical consulting, or solution design

• Experience within an MSP or IT service provider environment

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, cyber security, and unified comms

• Confident communicator, comfortable with C-level engagement and technical demos

• Commercial awareness and ability to align solutions to client budgets and compliance

Desirable:

• Certifications from vendors such as Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, Sophos

• Experience in project delivery or consulting prior to moving into pre-sales

• Understanding of MSP models including SLAs, recurring revenue, and professional services

This is a field-based role with travel to client sites, requiring flexibility and excellent stakeholder management skills. You will also regularly liaise with internal teams across the UK.
