Role and Responsibilities of a shift engineer: Provide electrical and mechanical support and repairs for all production equipment and site servicesFixing production machinery, industrial processing equipment, conveyors, packaging machinery, automation and controls, PLC''s, SCADA Systems, robots, site services, facilitiesSupporting the engineering shift managers with project work - new machine and production line installsPPM''s, electrical and mechanical fault finding, problem solving, machine upgradesPLC - electrical fault findingMechanical fabrication, fitting, machining and welding to make parts and repairsWork as part of a weekend call-out / standby rota when needed ( 200 additional payments) Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed to be a shift engineer: Must be a multi-skilled engineer (electrical and mechanical)Apprenticeship trained or a time-served engineering with mechanical and electrical qualificationsAt least 4 years+ experience previously working in FMCG or packaging manufacturingAble to
