Lead Premises Officer / Caretaker Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire Salary: £29,000 - £31,500 per annum Contract: Permanent, Full Time - 37 hours per week Start Date: ASAP, although the school will consider candidates working a notice period IC Talent are recruiting for an experienced and reliable Lead Premises Officer / Caretaker to join a primary school in the Sutton-in-Ashfield area. As the sole Premises Officer, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running, safety, security and maintenance of the school site. You will work closely with the Headteacher and school staff, as well as external contractors and cleaners. Key Responsibilities Opening and securing the school each day. General maintenance, repairs and caretaking duties. Maintaining the school grounds and ensuring the site is safe and well presented. Supporting risk assessments, health and safety and fire safety procedures. Coordinating cleaners, contractors and estate services. Liaising with external contractors and overseeing work on site. Carrying out regular checks and ensuring facilities and equipment are safe and operational. Acting as the main point of contact for the Headteacher and staff regarding premises matters. Taking ownership of the overall condition and security of the school.
