About the RoleCambridgeshire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Families First Service. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting children and families through a relationship-based approach, ensuring children are safeguarded and families are supported to make lasting and positive changes.As a Families First Social Worker, you will work directly with children, young people and their families, undertaking assessments, developing intervention plans and managing safeguarding concerns. The role involves working closely with partner agencies, wider family networks and professionals to improve outcomes for children and reduce risk.You will be expected to undertake court work and care proceedings, including preparing high-quality assessments, statements and reports, attending court where required and working within statutory and court-directed timescales.This position is supporting the service as Cambridgeshire County Council continues to implement its Family Help Pilot and transition teams across the county.
