Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about helping children with SEND thrive?

Quantum Scholars is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil in Wokingham who is currently accessing Education Otherwise Than At School (EOTAS) provision.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building genuine relationships with young people and understands that progress isn''t always about what happens in a classroom. You''ll play an important role in helping a young person feel comfortable, supported and confident in their learning environment.

You will provide individualised 1:1 learning support to a Year 6 pupil with Autism (ASD) and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).

The role will involve working from the pupil''s home in Wokingham, providing a calm, consistent and supportive environment where the pupil can engage with their education at their own pace.

Hours: 10 hours per week
Start: September 2026
Days & Times: Completely flexible
Location: Wokingham - home-based

We''re looking for someone who is patient, adaptable and genuinely passionate about supporting children with additional needs.

You should have:

• Experience supporting SEND pupils on a 1:1 basis
• A good understanding of Autism and/or PDA
• The ability to build a trusting and positive relationship with a young person
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach
• The ability to adapt your approach to meet individual needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine commitment to helping young people make progress and develop their confidence

Previous experience within EOTAS, alternative provision, SEN schools, specialist settings or 1:1 support would be highly desirable.

This isn''t simply a classroom support position. You''ll have the opportunity to provide consistent, personalised support to one young person, helping them access education in a way that works for them.

The flexibility of the role makes it particularly well suited to an experienced LSA, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor or similar professional looking for a part-time opportunity that can fit around their existing commitments.
