Proactive are urgently recruiting for Cable Assembly Operative to works in our busy cable department assembling data and power cables to a high standard of quality.

Responsibilities include:

• Carry out the cable assembly process, including soldering, as instructed by following printed assembly instruction documents
• Carry out custom labelling of cable assembly products as instructed by supervisor and by following printed custom label instruction documents
• Carry out quality control of cable assemblies following written instructional documents
• Advise Cable Lead of any broken, incomplete parts, as well as inconsistencies/safety hazards.
• Transport connectors and cables from warehouse to assembly area
• Stack/organize completed cable assemblies per work order or sales order
• Test all cables and place individual tested labels on "main" cables

Skills/Requirements

• Good working knowledge of, or willingness to learn, basic connectivity issues and assembly concepts
• Soldering skills
• Cable assembly experience
• Electrical assembly experience
• Electronic assembly experience
• Experience working with electrical connectors, cable, or wires
• Familiarity with the use of hand tools - especially electrical hand tools (wire cutters, wire strippers, connector crimp tools etc)

Hours: 8.00am-4.30pm Monday to Friday

Location: Southall, UB2

Rate : -13 holiday accrued or -14.50 Holiday paid
