Role Overview This Principal Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of high-integrity marine electrical equipment and control systems. From electrical design to supplier engagement and validation, this individual will act as a subject matter expert in naval-grade systems, playing a key role in technical governance and customer satisfaction across defence programmes. Principal Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities Lead the design, specification, and testing of marine electrical systems and control equipment, ensuring all deliverables meet customer and regulatory standards. Produce detailed technical drawings, schematics, and block diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar tools. Create and maintain commissioning documentation, test plans, and technical specifications for motors, VSDs, control panels, and operator control stations. Conduct electrical calculations including harmonic emissions and arc flash safety assessments. Review and approve supplier documentation and ensure technical compliance across all components.
