Forklift Truck Operator Nights Location: South Ockendon, RM15 6RL Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00pm 6:00am Salary: £27,058.11 + 33% shift allowance (£35,987.28 total) Overtime: 1.5x base rate (Saturday) and 2x base rate (Sunday), depending on business needs About the Role Our client is looking for an experienced Forklift Truck Operator to join their busy South Ockendon site on the night shift. This role involves working in a fast-paced yard environment, moving large volumes of pallets and supporting the loading and unloading of HGVs. You will operate 4.5-ton triple fork vehicles, moving up to 60 pallets at a time (three stacks of twenty). Candidates with experience using double or triple forks will be at an advantage. Key Responsibilities • Operate FLTs safely and efficiently, handling double or triple forks • Move and stack pallets around the site • Load and unload HGVs in a busy yard environment • Support general yard operations and follow all site safety procedures • Work as part of a team to meet production targets and maintain high standards Requirements • Must hold a valid external RTITB, ITSSAR, or NPORS forklift licence (Refreshers can be arranged if your licence is nearly expired, but it must be valid on start date) • Previous experience in a busy yard or industrial environment • Experience loading/unloading HGVs and handling large pallet volumes • A proactive attitude and commitment to health and safety Benefits Package • 25 days holiday plus bank hol
