CNC 5-Axis Machinist / Setter Operator - Mazak VARIAXIS J500 and J600 Location: Gloucester Salary: £48,000 per annum Shift: Permanent Full Time Overtime Available Immediate Start Available The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC 5-Axis Machinist / Programmer to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Gloucester.Working with Mazak VARIAXIS J500 and J600 5-axis machining centres, you will be responsible for setting, operating and optimising machining processes to produce high-precision components to exacting quality standards.Key Responsibilities Set and operate Mazak VARIAXIS J500 and J600 machining centresRead and interpret engineering drawings and technical specificationsPerform tool changes, offsets and machine adjustmentsProduce components to tight tolerances and quality standardsConduct first-off and in-process inspectionsEnsure machines are running efficiently and minimise downtimeMaintain a safe and organised working environmentWork collaboratively with production, quality and engineering teams Requirements Proven experience setting and operating 5-axis CNC machining centresExperience with Mazak machinery and Mazatrol controls preferredAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsKnowledge of precision machining techniques and toolingExperience working to tight tolerancesStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a team What''s on Offer?
