Behaviour support worker
ResponsibilitiesProvide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEMH needs to enhance their engagement and learning outcomesAssist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategiesSupport students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and coping mechanismsPromote a positive classroom environment by encouraging respectful interactions and inclusivelyCollaborate with teachers, parents, and external specialists to monitor student progress and adapt support plansSupervise students during lessons, breaks, and extracurricular activities to ensure safety and appropriate behaviourAssist with classroom organisation and resources to facilitate effective learning experiencesContribute to creating a nurturing atmosphere that encourages student confidence and independenceSkillsExperience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is highly desirableStrong background in teaching or supporting children within educational settingsKnowledge of special education practices and behaviour management techniquesExperience working with children facing social or emotional challengesAbility to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families from diverse backgroundsExperience working with individuals with disabilities or mental health needs is advantageousFamiliarity with toddler care or early childhood development is a plusExcellent interpersonal skills combined with patience, empathy, and resilienceThis ..... full job details .....
