Role Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Skilled Operative to support delivery on a civil engineering and infrastructure project based in Cheadle. This position requires a competent and safety focused individual with strong general civils experience, particularly within deep drainage and temporary works installation.

Key Responsibilities

Install drainage systems, including deep drainage

Undertake excavation and groundworks

Carry out temporary works installation including sheets and frames

Lay concrete, kerbs and pavements

Dig trenches and support ducting works

Assist with site set up and general construction activities

Operate plant where ticketed and authorised

Comply with all risk assessments and method statements

Conduct equipment checks prior to use

Maintain a safe and tidy working environment

Attend and contribute to site briefings and toolbox talks

Report hazards, incidents and near misses in line with site procedures

This is a full time freelance opportunity offering a competitive day rate on a structured infrastructure project. Suitable candidates must be reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a professional site team.
