Due to the location you will ideally have your own transport or live in the Ambergate area of Derby. The Extrusion Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining extrusion machinery to produce plastic film products that meet quality, safety, and production standards. The role ensures efficient production while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and customer specifications. Key Responsibilities Machine Operation Set up, start, and operate extrusion lines in accordance with production schedules. Monitor machine parameters such as temperature, pressure, and speed. Adjust settings to maintain product quality and minimise waste. Conduct routine checks during production runs. Quality Control Inspect film output for defects including gauge variation, contamination, or surface imperfections. Record quality measurements and complete production documentation. Ensure finished products meet customer and company specifications. Safety and Compliance Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures. Maintain a clean and safe working environment (5S standards). Report hazards, near misses, and incidents in accordance with company policy.
