Manufacturing Stores Operative / Carousel Operative

£12.71 per hour
Monday to Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm | Friday 7:30am–12:00pm = 38.5 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Stores / Carousel Operative to join an established engineering and manufacturing company.

This is a practical role within the production environment, responsible for managing parts and components through the company's automated storage system and ensuring stock remains accurate and well organised.

The Role

• Operating a large automated parts storage system using HMI controls
• Booking parts in and out of the system
• Supplying parts to different production departments
• Keeping stock records accurate and up to date
• Using Microsoft Excel to maintain stock information
• Carrying out stock checks and reporting any discrepancies
• Ensuring parts are stored correctly and efficiently
• Working closely with the production team to ensure parts are available when required
• Maintaining a clean, organised and disciplined working environment

The Person

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience working in a production or manufacturing environment
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• A reliable and disciplined approach to work
• Experience using Microsoft Excel is essential
• The ability to accurately record information and follow processes
• Good communication skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Previous experience operating an automated storage system is not essential, as full training will be provided.

This role would suit someone from a production, manufacturing, stores or warehouse background who is organised, reliable and comfortable using a computer and Excel.

Hours & Pay

Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am–12:00pm

£12.71 per hour
