A welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Watford is looking for an outstanding Year 1 teacher to join their team from September 2025 (or sooner for the right candidate). About the Role
As the Year 1 Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating, nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Your class will be a lively group of young learners who thrive on exploration, storytelling and hands-on activities.

You will be responsible for:
andbull; Planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils
andbull; Creating a safe, supportive classroom where pupils are encouraged to take risks and develop
andbull; Working closely with teaching assistants, phase leaders and parents to support pupil progress
andbull; Contributing to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and events

About You
We are looking for someone who:
andbull; Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
andbull; Has experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1
andbull; Is creative, adaptable and confident using a range of teaching strategies
andbull; Builds strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
andbull; Is committed to continuous professional development and reflective practice
