KS2 Teacher

January 2027 Start

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher to take on a teaching role at a school in Gravesend, Kent, starting in January 2027.

This position would be ideal for a qualified teacher who enjoys helping pupils develop their knowledge, independence and confidence as they progress through the later years of primary education. You will be responsible for teaching within a designated KS2 classroom, delivering purposeful lessons and maintaining an environment that supports positive behaviour and academic achievement.

• Plan and deliver effective lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

• Engage pupils through varied teaching methods that encourage participation and progress.

• Maintain clear expectations for behaviour and establish consistent classroom routines.

• Manage the classroom confidently, addressing behavioural challenges in a calm and professional manner.

• Assess pupils'' understanding and adapt lessons to meet a range of learning needs.

• Encourage pupils to develop their confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning.

• Work alongside colleagues to support pupil progress and contribute to the wider school community.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

• Previous experience teaching KS2 pupils is desirable.

• Strong classroom organisation and behaviour management abilities.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.

• A flexible, reliable and professional approach.

• A valid DBS certificate or willingness to apply for a new DBS check.

• A driver is preferred, with a full UK driving licence and access to transport being advantageous.
