Key Stage 2 Tutor

About the Role

We''re looking for enthusiastic and supportive Key Stage 2 Tutors to work with children across the BCP area, providing personalised 1:1 tuition to learners who require additional educational support.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you''ll support pupils who may be unable to access mainstream education full-time, have additional learning needs, or require a tailored approach to help them achieve their potential. Your focus will be on building confidence, developing key skills, and creating positive learning experiences that encourage progress.

• Pay Rate: -2530 per hour
• Type: 1:1 Tuition

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months'' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, mentoring, learning support, or similar roles
• Experience supporting primary-aged children
• Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
• Ability to adapt learning to meet individual needs
• Experience supporting children with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, nurturing, and engaging approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel within your local area

• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• ADHD
• Anxiety and emotionally based school avoidance
• EHCPs and additional educational needs

The role is centred around helping young learners re-engage with education, develop their confidence, and make meaningful progress in a supportive environment.
