This is a key role within the finance team, providing financial support, analysis and effective business partnering during a critical period in the financial year.Key responsibilities:Lead on budget monitoring, forecasting, and reporting for Children''s ServicesProvide clear and accurate financial analysis to support decision-makingDeliver robust cost management and savings trackingSupport the preparation of budgets and medium-term financial planningCommunicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholdersRole requirements:Qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) or demonstrably qualified by experienceStrong background in management accounting within a local authority settingProven experience supporting Children''s Services or similar demand-led servicesExcellent technical accounting knowledge and analytical capabilityTrack record of effective budgeting, forecasting, and cost controlConfident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
