The role of an SEMH Teaching Assistant will involve dealing with challenging behaviours, emotional regulations and barriers to learning which you will help overcome.This position is ideal for someone who has experience in this setting and has high resilience to reap the benefits.About the Role:SEMH Teaching Assistants work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and SLT your duties will include: Supporting students who have SEMH needs Providing consistent guidance and emotional regulation Providing 1:1 support and small group based work Working in hubs where provisions are in place for supporting students with ASD De-escalating situations and opening barriers from learning Ensuring the pupil doesn''t get distracted during class and focuses on the task at handIdeal Candidate Profile Experience supporting pupils with ASD and other associated needs.
