This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in improving the lives of disabled residents by carrying out specialist assessments, recommending housing adaptations, and promoting independence through person-centred practice.Working within a strengths-based framework, you will assess disabled adults and their carers, design cost-effective adaptation schemes, and provide expert advice to housing colleagues. You will also contribute to housing applications and allocations, assess the suitability of properties, influence the design of new-build homes to meet Lifetime Homes Standards, and undertake complex Carers'' Assessments in line with the Care Act 2014.This is a varied and rewarding role requiring regular travel across the borough to complete home visits, property assessments, and visits to equipment stores.
