The Role
Specific Stock Control
Ensure effective inventory control and accuracy to support the aims of the business in terms of Quality, Cost, Speed, Dependability, FlexibilityDelivery of a robust cycle counting process, delivering in line with customer experience metrics and financial audit requirements - conduct physical counts, analysis and rectification of cycle count data, reconciliation with management systemMaintain accurate stock recordsPhysical stock management and accurately maintaining reconciliation with inventory management systemsProactively look for process improvements with a methodical and consistent approach Deliver strong stock controls to assist in the efficient movement and management of stock Taking responsibility and ownership in problem investigation and resolution.Liaise with internal customers and stakeholders in a timely way to manage any issuesAny other responsibilities for the necessary fulfilment of the role
Operations Team Member
Keeping the work environment safe and tidyEnsuring that all tasks are performed to the required standard and quality to meet both internal and external customer requirements.Updating stock quantities via internal stock management systemsConfirming and checking order detailsMaintaining and storing stock to a safe and accurate standardFlexibility within the team is a key requirement. Must be prepared to work where requested to meet the needs of the customer.Document processes and procedures for new or newly revised product designs.Identify and communicate opportunities to improve processes in support of efforts to increase standardisation, reduce costs, reduce cycle times and improve safetySet up and operate equipment to produce products that meet customer specifications.Test and inspect parts against requirements.Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
Skills And Qualifications
Inventory knowledge and experienceAbility to follow verbal and/or written technical instructions.Ability to read, understand and follow safety procedures and general instructionsAttention to detail and qualityMethodical approach to tasksCare and patience towards dealing with fragile and delicate materialsExperience of using computer systemsProactive and positive attitudeWillingness to take on new ways of working and prepared to be open to flexibility and training into all areas within the production environment.Strong communication and team working skillsA technical knowledge gained from a similar engineering / material supply business is preferrable but not essential.
