Activity Group Coordinator

Royal Voluntary Service has an opportunity available for a Activity Group Coordinator to join our team. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a salary of £14,413.80 per annum (£24,023 FTE). The post is Home based with regular travel to various locations across Leicestershire and Smisby (Derbyshire). About the Activity Group Coordinator role: To coordinate and facilitate the operation of weekly activity and support groups for people living with dementia and/or their carers. The role of an Activity Group Coordinator is to design, prepare and deliver stimulating and fun activities for the group on a weekly basis. Activities will include but not limited to; chair based exercise, cognitive stimulation and craft work. The role will include supporting the Service Manager with the co-ordination of Volunteers, including recruitment and compliance (training and DBS checks), to enhance the overall service provision provided to those attending the groups. Day to day co-ordination of the group provision including but not exclusive to; activity planning and delivery, organising refreshment provision and regular communication with group members and venues. Co-ordination of volunteers, ensuring arrangements are in place for their recruitment and training. Ensuring adequate volunteer support is available at each group.
