OverviewCommercial and Corporate Senior Associate | In-House Senior Legal Counsel

AustralianSuper is the largest pension fund in Australia and an active investor across global financial markets, real assets, private credit and private equity. The Fund manages assets with the aim of delivering sustainable, long-term performance for its members.

This role sits within the Corporate Legal team in London, providing commercial legal advice to business units within the Fund and assisting the Legal Department in managing legal risk internationally. It focuses on non-investment related matters such as service agreements, vendors, liabilities and indemnities, technology, procurement, and more.

The position is based on-site at London King’s Cross with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

Work autonomously and proactively provide legal advice on a range of general corporate and commercial matters

Develop, review, negotiate, draft, and resolve all types of service, master supply, or consulting agreements

Lead on major and/or complex commercial transactions (non-investment related)

Provide legal support for strategic projects and assist with policies and procedures

Support the management of external commercial matters and present to the business

What you’ll need

England and Wales practising certificate issued by the Solicitors Regulation Authority / Qualified Lawyer

Law degree or equivalent

Strong private practice / law firm experience within the commercial/corporate space

Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills

Experience working in a dynamic and collaborative environment

Track record of providing commercially focused legal support

Exposure to a regulated/FCA environment

Exposure to US, UK, or Europe legal matters would be a plus
