You''ll be stepping into a role that offers trust, involvement, and the chance to contribute meaningfully within a stable and well-run finance team.Main Duties:As a Financial Accountant, your main duties include:Maintain accurate, timely financial records and support the Head of Finance across day-to-day financial accounting activities.Deliver the monthly close, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.Prepare VAT returns and support wider tax reporting requirements.Produce monthly management accounts, forecasts, cash flow reports and supporting analysis.Maintain budgets and forecasts, ensuring all entries are supported by clear working papers for audit and review.Ensure effective reconciliations between finance systems and related operational systems.Support year-end processes, including statutory accounts, audits and external reporting.Identify and manage financial risks, maintaining strong financial controls and value for money.Review monthly payroll outputs to resolve issues prior to payment.Prepare KPI and management reporting for senior stakeholders.Support business planning, budgeting and scenario modelling.Line manage and support a junior finance team member and provide cover across the wider finance te
