Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: East Kilbride
Hours: 39 hours per week (flexible working pattern)
Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established regional fit-out contractor based in East Kilbride. The business is a SME and you will be the main Surveyor-working closely with the Director of the company to support commercial requirements within the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, including retail shopfitting (with a strong focus on joinery installations), property upgrades, and residential house building.

You will play a key role in managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and supporting the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions
• Managing project costs and monitoring financial performance
• Valuing completed work and arranging payments
• Identifying, valuing, and negotiating variations
• Procuring subcontractors and managing accounts
• Conducting site visits and liaising with project teams
• Preparing and agreeing final accounts
• Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and on schedule

About You

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within fit-out, joinery, or residential construction
• Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects across varied sectors
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficient in relevant software and standard QS practices
• Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred but not essential depending on experience)
