Senior Quantity Surveyor – Refurbishment

We are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a well-established refurbishment and fit-out specialist delivering high-quality projects across the commercial and public sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a business that provides an end-to-end service, from initial design through to full installation.

This Senior Quantity Surveyor role is a commercially focused, office-based position, responsible for overseeing the financial and contractual performance of refurbishment projects from tender stage through to final account. The role would suit a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take on a broader commercial remit within a supportive environment that offers long-term career development.

The Role – Senior Quantity Surveyor

• As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, oversee the commercial management of refurbishment projects under JCT and bespoke company contracts

• Support pre-construction activity, including tenders, pricing and bid submissions

• Review tender allowances, margins, exclusions and risks

• Establish and manage project budgets, tracking performance against forecasts

• Produce regular commercial reports, including margin and gross profit forecasts

• Prepare valuations, applications for payment and subcontractor assessments

• Manage variations and change control to protect commercial position

About You – Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction or refurbishment

• Also open to candidates currently operating at Commercial Manager level

• Good understanding of JCT contracts

• Experience supporting tenders, pricing or bid submissions

• Confident managing costs, budgets and commercial reporting

• Highly organised, commercially astute and solution-focused
