Assistant Management AccountantLocation: LeicesterSalary: 30,000- 35,000Contract: 15-month fixed-term contractWorking Pattern: HybridThe OpportunityWe are recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant to join an established finance team based in Leicester on a 15-month fixed-term contract.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their management accounting experience within a fast-paced organisation, gaining exposure to month-end reporting, financial analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.Working closely with the wider finance team, you will play an important role in ensuring accurate and timely financial information is produced, supporting reporting requirements and helping the business make informed decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts.Support month-end processes, including journals, accruals and prepayments.Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.Process and reconcile intercompany transactions.Calculate and maintain provisions for bad debts, bonuses and commissions.Support financial analysis, identifying trends and explaining variances within monthly management reports.Liaise with colleagues across finance to resolve queries and ensure accurate financial reporting.Maintain effective financial controls and ensure accounting processes are followed.Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting accuracy ..... full job details .....
