Tradewind Recruitment are working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Bromley-by-Bow, Tower Hamlets, who are seeking a passionate Food Technology Teacher to join their dedicated team. You will deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and additional learning difficulties.

The role:

• Plan and deliver Food Technology lessons that build practical skills and promote healthy living

• Differentiate lessons to suit learners with SEMH and behavioural needs

• Use hands-on, vocational learning to motivate and engage students

• Work closely with support staff, SENCO and behaviour mentors

Requirements:

• QTS/QTLS with Food Technology specialism (or strong Food Tech teaching experience)

• Previous experience in a PRU, SEMH, or alternative provision setting desirable

• Resilient, adaptable and able to build positive relationships with students

• Strong behaviour management strategies and restorative practice skills
