Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Manchester
Salary: -30,000 - -45,000 (depending on experience)

The Role
An established and growing consultancy in Manchester is looking to bring in a Geotechnical Engineer to support a wide range of infrastructure, commercial, and residential projects across the UK. This is a hands-on role offering a mix of site work, design, and reporting, with clear progression opportunities as the team continues to expand.

You''ll be joining a close-knit technical team where your input is valued, and you''ll have the chance to work across the full project lifecycle-from ground investigation through to design and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out and supervising ground investigations
• Logging soil and rock in accordance with current standards
• Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
• Undertaking foundation design, slope stability, and earthworks assessments
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
• Supporting junior staff and contributing to project delivery

Requirements

• Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline
• 2-5 years'' relevant UK experience
• Good understanding of ground investigation techniques and geotechnical principles
• Experience in report writing and basic design calculations
• Working knowledge of UK standards (e.g. Eurocodes)
• Full UK driving licence
