Assembly Technician - Aerospace Interiors



Duration: 6 months Hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:00-16:00 | Friday, 7:00-12:00 Hours per week: 39

MANE is currently seeking Assembly Technicians to join a world-leading aerospace interiors manufacturer based in Leighton Buzzard.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy aerospace manufacturing environment, assembling aircraft interior components to high-quality standards.

As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling a variety of aircraft interior components within a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment. Working as part of a small team, you will ensure products are assembled accurately, meet engineering specifications and are completed to customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble aircraft interior components using hand tools, power tools, fasteners, adhesives and aerospace-approved materials.

• Work with a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, fabrics and leather.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and manufacturing documentation.

• Ensure components are assembled accurately and meet required quality standards.

• Maintain component traceability throughout the assembly process.

• Package finished products in preparation for transportation.

• Follow company health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe working environment.

• Support production targets, quality standards and delivery requirements.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and reducing waste.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support other areas of production when required.

• Previous assembly experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

• Aerospace manufacturing experience is highly desirable.

• Confident using a variety of hand tools, power tools and mechanical equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
